Welcome to our School

Lochdonhead Primary School is a co-educational school, situated at the head  of a sea loch and enjoying superb views from every aspect. Accommodation provides two classrooms, staff room, office, kitchen/dining room and entrance hall. Pupils enjoy excellent relationships with one another and the wider community.

Our broad aims, in line with the Curriculum for Excellence, are that our children should be:

  • successful learners, being encouraged to work enthusiastically to achieve their full potential.
  • confident individuals in a happy and caring atmosphere, where parents, carers, staff and children all feel welcome and valued and are encouraged to develop healthy and active lifestyles.
  • responsible citizens supporting and protecting our community, and the wider world, developing responsibility, independence and tolerance of other cultures.
  • effective contributors through working together co-operatively, making decisions and being creative and ambitious.

The school is a member of the North Mull Cluster Group of schools and works closely with colleagues across the island as part of the Mull and Iona Co-operative.
