Induction Programme – Ben More Climb – Monday 11th June 2018 – P7 Pupils

As part of the Induction Programme for  High School, all pupils entering into S1 in August 2018 will be included in an organised party to be given the opportunity to reach the summit of Ben More, Mull’s only Munro, standing at 966m. The group will be led by an experienced Summer Mountain Leader and teacher at THS. He will be assisted by two additional qualified and experienced Mountain Leaders

We intend to give the pupils an opportunity where they will feel a great sense of achievement, with all in the party working together to reach the summit. Pupils will be involved in an activity where they will realise the benefits of giving and receiving support in different ways, to and from their peers and leaders to reach a goal. They will gain knowledge and valuable skills in mountain climbing throughout the experience.
