We had an enjoyable start to National Science week with a guided tour of Garmony Hydro, an effective renewable energy resource on Mull. We learned, from Moray Finch, how the Hydroelectric project utilises the power of water flowing downhill to turn a turbine and create electricity. It can generate enough electricity to power 120 houses and also raises money to help local projects on Mull. Look out for the full report in our MICT newsletter, being distributed soon. It is written and produced by children for children.
